Center for Wooden Boats Pastel Workshop
with Steve Hill, September 22-25, 2008

Join former NPS president, Steve Hill, for a 4 day workshop at The Center for Wooden Boats, on Lake Union in Seattle. Steve is returning to the CWB to teach an intensive workshop painting boats, light, water reflections and the lively color around the docks. Steve will do live demos daily (both plein air and from reference photos) and will provide lots of positive feedback at your easel throughout the workshop. You will leave this workshop very motivated and with a clear understanding of how to use pastels to create better paintings.

Students will need a basic hard and soft pastel set, stand-alone easel, pastel papers and backing boards. A suggested list of supplies will be emailed to all students by August 15th or you can purchase a basic discounted pastel starter set, including papers, backing boards, view finders, etc., for @ $190 through Steve/Dakota Pastels.

To register, www.cwb.org, scroll down to “Art on the Water” for workshop description and to contact Mareth Warren, program director.
